Gold prices in Pakistan increased significantly on Thursday. The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs 3,000 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs 497,662 per tola.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of gold also went up and now stands at Rs 426,664.

This upward trend follows a rise in international gold prices, which increased by $30 per ounce in the global market. The recent fluctuations in the international market have directly affected local gold rates in Pakistan.

Silver prices also moved higher. The rate of silver increased by Rs 130 per tola, reaching Rs 8,014 per tola.

Experts say the rise in gold prices is mainly due to ongoing global economic uncertainty and changing investor sentiment after the recent developments in the Middle East. Many people still consider gold a safe investment during unstable times.

The current price level is still below the recent high of over Rs 500,000 per tola, but the sudden jump has caught the attention of both investors and jewellery buyers.

Market analysts advise people to closely watch both local and international trends before making big purchases. Gold prices in Pakistan are expected to remain volatile in the coming days depending on global oil prices and geopolitical developments.

This latest increase once again shows how closely Pakistan’s precious metal market is linked to international economic conditions.
