The federal government has given relief to people by reducing fuel prices again. On June 12, 2026, authorities announced a cut of Rs. 4 per litre in petrol and Rs. 2 per litre in high-speed diesel (HSD). This is the fifth week in a row that fuel prices have come down.

The new price of petrol is now Rs. 373.78 per litre, down from Rs. 377.78. High-speed diesel will cost Rs. 378.78 per litre, reduced from Rs. 380.78. These rates became effective from Saturday, June 13, 2026.

The Petroleum Division said the decision was taken after reviewing global oil prices. Falling international crude oil rates and a stable rupee helped make this reduction possible. Over the last five weeks, petrol prices have dropped by a total of around Rs. 41 per litre, bringing much-needed relief to millions of consumers.

Lower fuel prices will reduce transport costs, which can bring down the prices of daily goods like food and vegetables. This helps control inflation and supports the common man, transporters, farmers, and businesses.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and the government are focusing on giving relief to people amid economic challenges. However, experts say prices still depend on the global market. The government reviews petroleum prices every week. People hope these reductions will continue and help the economy grow stronger.
