Lahore has seen a major drop in crime during the first eleven months of 2025. The latest report from the Lahore Police shows a 52 percent decrease in serious crimes compared to the same time in 2024. This is a big change for a city that deals with a fast growing population, heavy traffic, and daily movement of millions of people.
Robbery cases went down by 49 percent. Mugging incidents dropped even more, with a sharp 73 percent fall. Calls to Rescue 15, which people make during emergencies, also decreased by 73 percent. This drop suggests that fewer people are facing violent or dangerous situations.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said the improvement came from strong government support and better use of technology. He noted that the police force has been working day and night to improve safety. Cameras, digital tracking, and faster response systems played an important role. Routine patrolling and targeted operations also helped reduce crime in busy areas.
Theft cases reduced by 30 percent, which shows that both street safety and property safety have improved. Many residents say they feel safer walking in markets and traveling at night.
The report highlights that good planning and modern tools can make a big difference in public safety. Lahore Police says it will continue these efforts so the city becomes even safer in the coming years.
For now, the data paints a hopeful picture. Lahore may be on its way to becoming one of the safest major cities in Pakistan.
