Pakistan’s national baseball teams have moved up in the latest global rankings released by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), showing positive growth for the sport in the country.
The men’s team climbed three spots to 35th place in the world rankings. Meanwhile, the women’s team jumped from 17th to 14th place, marking steady progress for both sides.
Regionally, Pakistan’s women’s baseball team now ranks 7th in Asia, while the men’s team stands at 8th place. This improvement is notable because the teams did not even take part in big tournaments like the Asian Games this year but still managed to boost their positions.
Fakhar Ali Shah, Secretary of the Pakistan Baseball Federation, praised the players and coaches for their hard work. He said this success is due to better training, modern coaching methods, and more international exposure for the teams.
Pakistan has been investing in baseball by training young players, upgrading coaching techniques, and giving athletes more chances to compete at the international level. These efforts are helping Pakistan become stronger in the global baseball community.
Officials believe that if this support continues, Pakistan’s players will keep rising in the rankings and perform well in future tournaments. The aim is to build a good name for the country in this growing sport and encourage more young people to take part in baseball.
With determination and support, Pakistan’s baseball future looks brighter than ever.
