Safar Moon not Sighted in Pakistan

by Hameed

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon for Safar 1447 AH was not seen anywhere in Pakistan on Friday, July 25. Because of this, the first day of Safar will now be observed on Sunday, July 27.

According to weather experts, the chances of spotting the moon this time were already very low due to cloudy skies and changing weather in different areas. Despite this, the committee held its usual meeting and collected reports from across the country to make sure there was no sighting.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is responsible for checking and confirming moon sightings every month. They work with teams in different cities to get reliable information. Once they confirm the reports, they announce the start of the new Islamic month, helping people plan religious activities and events.

This time, since there was no clear sighting of the moon, Muharram will complete 30 days before Safar begins. Now, people in Pakistan will mark the first day of Safar on Sunday instead of Saturday.

These updates are very important for communities because many religious dates and gatherings depend on the official moon sighting. The committee thanked all those who shared information with them and promised to keep giving timely and accurate news about future moon sightings.

People across Pakistan can now plan their schedules and observe the new month of Safar with ease and clarity, following the official announcement.
