Information Minister Apologies Martial Arts Player “Shahzaib Rind” for Unjustified Delay in Govt’s Reward Amount

Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, has issued a public apology to mixed martial arts champion Shahzaib Rindh for the government’s delay in giving him his promised financial reward and training support.

Shahzaib Rindh recently made headlines after he won the Karate Combat Championship (KC-49) in Singapore, bringing pride to Pakistan. However, he later criticised the government on social media for not delivering the prize money and training help that was promised to him.

Responding to Rindh’s concerns, Minister Tarar admitted that the delay was not fair and blamed it on poor communication. He said the government is now working quickly to resolve the issue. Tarar also shared that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of Shahzaib’s situation and has directed officials to make sure that no other athlete faces the same problem in the future.

Shahzaib welcomed the apology and said he hopes the authorities will keep their word this time. He added that he will continue to train hard and wants to motivate more young people in Pakistan to follow their dreams and make the country proud.

Rindh’s victory and the government’s apology have started an important discussion about the need for better support for athletes in Pakistan. Many sports fans believe that when athletes get timely rewards and training facilities, they can compete with the world’s best and bring home more titles.
