Dubai’s DP World to Build “Pakistan Mart” in UAE

by Hameed

Pakistan is set to gain a major export boost as DP World announces plans to establish a dedicated “Pakistan Mart” near Jebel Ali, UAE — with no construction cost for Pakistani stakeholders.

This purpose-built commercial hub will allow exporters to present their products directly to international buyers. It will feature warehouses, retail shops, showrooms, and e-commerce fulfilment centers, offering a complete platform to promote Made-in-Pakistan goods.

The initiative will be jointly led by the National Logistics Cell (NLC) and DP World. Commerce Minister Jam Kamal hailed the project as a transformational opportunity for Pakistan’s export sector, saying it will strengthen the country’s global trade presence.

Key sectors to be highlighted include textiles, sports goods, surgical instruments, and food products. By housing these industries under one roof, the hub will make it easier for global buyers to connect with Pakistani businesses.

The government has pledged full support to fast-track the project, ensuring exporters can meet quality standards and benefit from efficient logistics. Officials believe “Pakistan Mart” will increase trade volumes, enhance the country’s reputation in global markets, and open new doors for small and medium-sized enterprises.

With zero construction costs for Pakistani participants, this landmark initiative could transform the way Pakistan engages in international trade, creating long-term opportunities for the country’s export-driven growth.
