Three siblings from Pakistan made history by winning four medals at the MBW International Taekwondo Championship 2025 in Malaysia. The championship took place in Nilai from August 15 to 17, bringing together 4,200 athletes from 32 different countries.
Pakistan’s young taekwondo talent, Ayesha Ayaz, stood out by winning two medals, a gold and a bronze. Her brother, Mohammad Zaryab Khan, also impressed the audience by securing a gold medal. Their youngest sister, Gulalai Ayaz, showed remarkable skill, winning a bronze medal and earning the special title of Best Fighter of the Tournament.
The siblings’ success is rooted in strong family support. Their father, who is also the coach of Pakistan’s national taekwondo team, has guided them with dedication, while their mother, a two-time national champion herself, served as their inspiration and role model.
With such a sporting background, the children have carried forward the family’s passion and commitment to excellence in martial arts.
Their victory has not only brought medals but also immense pride to Pakistan. In particular, their hometown of Swat is celebrating their achievements, recognizing the siblings as symbols of hope and inspiration for young athletes. The story of Ayesha, Zaryab, and Gulalai highlights the potential of Pakistani youth to shine on the global stage when given the right support and opportunities.
Their journey shows how talent, hard work, and encouragement from family can combine to achieve extraordinary results, proving that Pakistani athletes are capable of competing with the best in the world.
