A luxury yacht launch in Türkiye took a shocking turn when the brand-new $1 million Dolce Vento capsized just minutes after it entered the Black Sea at Zonguldak port.
The 85-foot yacht, which had recently been delivered from Istanbul, started tilting within only 15 minutes of its launch. Passengers on board had no choice but to jump into the water to save themselves.
Videos from the scene show a chaotic moment, with people rushing to escape as the yacht quickly filled with water and began sinking. Some passengers were seen swimming toward safety, while others were pulled out by rescuers.
The Turkish Coast Guard and local port teams acted quickly, reaching the site in time to rescue all those on board. Thanks to their fast response, no casualties were reported. Authorities also worked to secure the area to prevent further damage or risk.
Reports suggest that the cause of the sudden accident is still unknown. The shipyard responsible for building and delivering the yacht has started an official investigation to find out what went wrong.
What was meant to be a proud moment of celebration turned into a dramatic scene, leaving many shocked by the unexpected mishap.
