New Fuel Prices in Pakistan! Petrol Rises by Rs. 4.07 Per Litre

The government has raised fuel prices once again, effective from October 1, 2025. Both petrol and diesel have become more expensive, adding to the worries of the public already dealing with rising costs.

As per the new rates, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs. 4.07 per liter, reaching Rs. 268.68. Diesel has gone up by Rs. 4.04 per liter, making the new price Rs. 276.81.

Officials said the decision was made because of changes in global oil prices and the impact of the exchange rate. They added that such adjustments are needed to keep the supply of fuel stable in the country.

The price hike is likely to raise transport costs, as diesel is mostly used in buses and trucks. Experts believe this will also push up the prices of daily goods, putting more pressure on people’s monthly expenses.

Many citizens have shown concern about the continuous fuel price hikes, saying it is becoming harder to manage household budgets. However, the government maintains that these steps are unavoidable to deal with economic and energy challenges.
