Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the world is now closer to achieving a ceasefire in Gaza than at any other time since the Israeli military campaign began. He described the situation as a genocide against the Palestinian people and called for urgent steps to stop the bloodshed.
According to the Prime Minister, recent international discussions and diplomatic efforts have created a small but significant window of hope for peace. He stressed that although challenges remain, the momentum for a ceasefire is stronger now than it has been in many months.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached unbearable levels. Thousands of lives have already been lost, and millions of people are suffering from food shortages, lack of medicine, and destruction of their homes. He said the world cannot continue to stay silent while innocent civilians, especially women and children, pay the price of war.
The Prime Minister also urged the international community, including the United Nations and influential countries, to act quickly and ensure that a ceasefire agreement is reached and respected. He added that Pakistan will continue to stand with the Palestinian people and raise its voice for their rights on every global platform.
Calling the ongoing violence unacceptable, Shehbaz Sharif said that achieving a ceasefire is the first step toward a permanent solution. He stressed that peace, justice, and dignity for Palestinians must remain at the heart of all negotiations.
He concluded by saying that the world must act now, before more lives are lost and the humanitarian tragedy deepens further.
