Former cricketer Imran Farhat has been appointed as Pakistan’s batting coach for the upcoming two-match home Test series against South Africa, which will begin on October 12 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The Pakistan Test side will be led by head coach Azhar Mehmood, who will oversee the red-ball setup. He will be supported by Abdul Rehman as the spin bowling coach and Abdul Majeed as the fielding coach.

This series is an important one for Pakistan, as it marks the start of their campaign in the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27. It also marks South Africa’s first Test tour of Pakistan since 2021, adding historical significance to the contests.

Besides the two Tests, both teams are scheduled to play three T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals across Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Faisalabad, giving fans across the country a chance to enjoy high-quality international cricket action.
