The YANGWANG U9 Xtreme, a luxury electric hypercar developed by BYD, has made global headlines after setting a new lap record at Germany’s famous Nürburgring Nordschleife. The powerful car completed the 20.8-kilometer track in 6 minutes and 59.157 seconds, making it the first electric supercar in history to break the seven-minute barrier.
This incredible achievement comes just weeks after the U9 Xtreme reached a top speed of 496.22 km/h at the ATP Papenburg test track, another world record for electric vehicles.
