Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has approved a major plan worth Rs25 billion to improve Karachi’s roads. The project includes the reconstruction of 315 internal streets and 60 important roads across the city. The goal is to make travel safer and easier for the people of Karachi.
CM Murad also ordered officials to install proper streetlights in all areas. This will help improve visibility at night and reduce accidents. He further directed the authorities to set up strong drainage systems so that roads do not get damaged every time it rains.
He said that Karachi’s roads are in very poor condition, especially after heavy rainfall. Because of this, people face many problems while travelling. The Chief Minister stressed that the work must be done on time and with good quality. He added that money is not the issue, what matters is proper planning, fast work, and good results.
During the meeting, the Mayor of Karachi also gave updates about RO plants and other civic development projects happening in the city.
This new development plan gives hope that Karachi will soon see better roads, safer streets, and improved basic facilities for its citizens.
