The United Arab Emirates has introduced important new visa reforms to make travel easier and faster for Pakistani citizens. One of the biggest changes is the launch of a dedicated visa centre that can process up to 500 visa applications every day, helping reduce long waiting times and speeding up approvals.
According to UAE Ambassador Salem Al Zaabi, Pakistanis will now benefit from online visa processing, allowing them to apply from home without visiting centres multiple times. The UAE has also introduced e-visas without passport stamping, making travel more convenient and fully digital.
These reforms were shared during a meeting between Ambassador Al Zaabi and Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. The ambassador praised the strong digital cooperation between the two countries and acknowledged the valuable contributions made by Pakistani professionals working in the UAE.
The new visa system is expected to support business travel, investment, tourism, and workforce mobility, giving Pakistanis more opportunities to work and grow in the UAE. Both sides also discussed expanding cooperation in important sectors such as technology, education, agriculture, defence, and trade.
Officials noted that the UAE is interested in attracting more Pakistani companies and increasing economic partnerships, which could create new business opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors.
Overall, these visa reforms mark a positive step toward stronger ties between Pakistan and the UAE. With faster processing, easier applications and improved digital services, Pakistanis can look forward to smoother travel and better opportunities in the UAE.
