Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu has made a strong statement about Pakistan’s air defense strength, saying that Rafale jets “proved to be zero” in front of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). His remarks highlight PAF’s confidence in its operational skills, modern systems, and strong defensive strategy.
According to the Air Chief, Pakistan’s air power has been upgraded over the years through advanced training, smart technology, and modern aircraft such as the JF-17 Thunder. He noted that the PAF focuses on real-time preparedness and swift response capability, which gives it an edge in any regional challenge.
His statement also points toward increasing regional military competition. India has invested heavily in Rafale jets, considering them a major boost to its air strength.
However, the Air Chief emphasized that modern warfare is not just about owning expensive aircraft. Instead, it depends on pilot skill, tactical planning, radar technology, and integrated air-defense systems, areas where PAF continues to improve.
Military experts say that the Air Chief’s remarks underline Pakistan’s strategic confidence, especially after the events of Operation Swift Retort in 2019, where PAF showcased its aerial precision and discipline.
The statement is also meant to reassure the Pakistani public that the country’s defense remains strong and ready to counter any threat. While regional tensions continue, the Air Chief’s message reinforces the belief that Pakistan’s security forces are fully capable of securing the nation’s airspace with professionalism and modern capability.
