Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has emphasized that character, courage, and competence remain the timeless values of the Pakistan Army.
He highlighted that these principles are central to the military’s ongoing efforts against terrorism and in maintaining national security.
Munir made these remarks at the conclusion of the 9th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit Exercise held in Kharian, Punjab. The exercise, conducted over 60 hours in semi-mountainous terrain, brought together 19 countries to engage in joint training, tactical drills, and knowledge exchange. It aimed to enhance modern warfare readiness while fostering cooperation between international military teams.
During the event, participating soldiers demonstrated high levels of professionalism, mental and physical resilience, and tactical skill. Munir praised the teams for maintaining strong morale and exhibiting teamwork under challenging conditions.
He noted that such exercises not only test operational capabilities but also strengthen strategic relationships with partner countries.
Outstanding performers were formally recognized, with awards and commendations given for exceptional skill, leadership, and teamwork.
International observers attending the exercise expressed appreciation for the high standards, organization, and professionalism of the Pakistan Army, further reinforcing its reputation globally.
Munir concluded by reaffirming that the Army’s success is built on a foundation of enduring values, rigorous training, and dedication to duty.
