Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah launched an online registration portal on Monday for a targeted Rs 2,000 monthly petrol subsidy for motorcycle owners. The scheme aims to provide relief to millions of bikers facing high fuel prices. The subsidy is equal to approximately 20 litres of petrol per month and will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Speaking at a press conference at the CM House in Karachi, Murad Ali Shah said only motorcycles registered in the owner’s own name are eligible. Applicants must enter their CNIC and bank account details on the portal. The system provides automatic verification and confirmation.
He was accompanied by Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon, Excise Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla, and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab.
