Mohsin Naqvi Announces No Motorcycle Transfer Fees In Islamabad For One Month

by Mahnoor Arif

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that motorcycle owners in Islamabad can now transfer ownership without paying any fee for the next month. The decision was taken on the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as part of the government’s public relief and petrol subsidy package.

The fee waiver will help thousands of bikers legally transfer their motorcycles in their own name so they can easily avail the ongoing petrol subsidy. Many people were facing difficulty in getting the subsidy because their bikes were not registered in their names.

To handle the expected large number of applications, the Islamabad Excise Office will remain open 24 hours a day. Additional counters have also been set up to make the process faster and easier for citizens.

This relief measure comes along with other steps, including free public transport in the capital for the next 30 days and a special petrol subsidy for motorcyclists.

The government hopes these initiatives will provide immediate financial ease to common citizens who are struggling with high fuel prices and daily expenses. People are encouraged to visit the Excise Office or check the online portal quickly to complete their motorcycle ownership transfer during this one month.

The move has been welcomed by residents, especially daily commuters and students who rely on motorcycles for travel.
