IESCO Recovers Rs. 4.6 Billion from 200,000 Consumers and Defaulters

Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has made remarkable progress in its efforts to recover unpaid dues, collecting a total of Rs 4.6 billion from 168,000 consumers as part of an ongoing crackdown on power theft and non-payment. According to IESCO Chief Muhammad Naeem Jan, the company has taken strict action against defaulters by disconnecting transformers and meters for those who have failed to pay their dues.

The recovery operation is being carried out across all of IESCO’s operational regions, including major areas such as Islamabad, Rawalpindi city, Rawalpindi Cantt, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal. IESCO’s recovery teams have been commended for their efficiency and determination, receiving strong support from local police and law enforcement agencies to ensure that defaulters comply with their payment obligations.

This campaign not only focuses on recovering outstanding payments but also aims to curb power theft, encouraging responsible electricity usage among consumers.
