Business Community Launches “Air Karachi” Airline with Rs 5 Billion Investment

Karachi’s business community has announced the launch of a new airline, Air Karachi, backed by an investment of Rs 5 billion. The airline, led by Hanif Gohar, is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and is awaiting license approval.

In its first phase, Air Karachi plans to lease three aircraft, aiming to provide reliable and efficient services. The airline’s operations will be managed by retired Air Vice Marshal Imran, who will serve as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Prominent business leaders from Karachi, including Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and Arif Habib, are key investors in this venture. Their involvement adds financial strength and credibility to the project.

The launch of Air Karachi is expected to positively impact Pakistan’s aviation sector by increasing competition, improving passenger services, and creating new job opportunities.
