Meezan Bank Limited (PSX: MEBL) has launched a Foreign Currency (FCY) debit card designed specifically for Pakistani exporters and freelancers who hold an Exporters’ Special Foreign Currency Account (ESFCA).
This new debit card is powered by Mastercard and allows users to make payments at international retail stores, pay for online services, and withdraw cash from Mastercard-supported ATMs worldwide. It provides a seamless and convenient way to manage cross-border transactions without the hassle of currency conversion.
With real-time spending tracking, users can monitor their expenses and maintain better control over their finances. The card also comes with advanced security features, including 3D Secure technology, which helps protect online transactions from fraud and unauthorized access.
Additionally, the card is NFC-enabled, meaning users can make contactless payments quickly and securely. One of the major benefits is that it eliminates the need for prior approval from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for permitted international transactions, making the process smoother and more efficient.
This initiative by Meezan Bank aims to support Pakistan’s growing freelance and export community by offering them a reliable and secure way to handle foreign currency payments.
