Pakistan Removes Visa Fees for Sikh Pilgrims Visiting Religious Site

by Hameed

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Thursday a big change to make it easier for Sikh pilgrims to visit Pakistan. Starting now, Sikh pilgrims can get their visas within just 30 minutes and won’t need to pay any visa fees.

Naqvi welcomed a group of 44 Sikhs from the U.S., highlighting new, simpler travel processes for U.S. citizens. Now, they can get visas upon arrival and can easily return multiple times without issues. He also shared that people from the UK and Canada can use a simpler online visa application system to visit Pakistan.

Naqvi expressed his hope to welcome up to a million Sikh pilgrims to Pakistan, encouraging them to explore more than just the well-known religious sites like Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur, and Hassan Abdal. He also invited Sikh communities worldwide, including those from India, to come to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy. Special plans will be made to ensure they have a comfortable experience during the event.
