The Sindh government has announced a new initiative to provide free pink scooters to working women, helping them travel safely and comfortably. This step aims to support women by giving them reliable transportation, making it easier for them to commute to work without facing safety concerns or transportation issues.
Senior Minister for Transport, Sharjeel Inam Memon, shared this announcement while also providing an update on the Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. He stated that the project is progressing ahead of schedule and will be completed five months earlier than planned, improving public transport in the region.
In addition to the pink scooters, the government is planning to introduce a pink taxi service designed specifically for women. This new service will offer a safe and comfortable travel option, ensuring that women feel secure while commuting.
Furthermore, the government is taking steps to create more job opportunities for the people of Sindh. One of these efforts includes the “I Work for Sindh” app, which will connect job seekers with employment opportunities in various sectors.
Through these initiatives, the Sindh government aims to empower women, improve transportation, and support job creation, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for people across the province.
