Cambridge Confirms Paper Leak in June2025 Exams in Pakistan

by Hameed

Cambridge International Education (CIE) has confirmed that parts of three A-Level exam papers were leaked in Pakistan during the June 2025 exam session. The papers affected include Mathematics Paper 12, Mathematics Paper 42, and Computer Science Paper 22.

According to CIE, only small portions of questions were leaked before the exams took place. The organization acted quickly and assured students that no one will benefit unfairly from this situation.

To ensure fairness, CIE announced that students will receive full marks for the specific questions that were leaked. This means that no student will be penalized or disadvantaged because of the incident. Final grades for all students will still be released as scheduled on August 12, 2025.

Cambridge emphasized its strong commitment to protecting the fairness and integrity of the exam process. The exam board has already started taking strict actions against those involved. This includes disqualifying students who were found cheating and removing the registration of exam centers linked to the leak.

CIE also reassured parents, teachers, and students that it is doing everything possible to make sure such issues do not happen again. The organization is reviewing its processes and working closely with authorities to improve exam security.

The news has raised concern among students and schools, but Cambridge’s quick response and decision to award full marks for leaked questions have helped ease worries for many candidates. The goal remains clear: to protect honest students and maintain the trust in Cambridge qualifications.
