Multan Electric Power Company Offers Upto 40-Month Installments to Pay Electricity Bills: Here are the details!

MEPCO has launched a special relief plan to support agricultural consumers struggling with unpaid electricity bills, some of which go back as far as 2015. This initiative is aimed at helping farmers pay off their dues gradually without facing immediate financial stress.

Under the new installment plan:

  • Dues up to Rs. 1 million can be paid in 30 monthly installments
  • Dues between Rs. 1–3 million can be paid in 40 monthly installments
  • Dues above Rs. 3 million will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis

Farmers whose electricity connections have been disconnected can now have them restored by paying just 10% of the outstanding amount, plus Reconnection Order (RCO) charges.

However, MEPCO has made it clear that a monthly markup will apply, and if even one installment is missed, the facility will be cancelled.

This relief package was approved by MEPCO’s Chief Engineer Gul Muhammad Zahid and announced by Chief Engineer Customer Services, Syed Jawad Mansoor Ahmed. It is part of MEPCO’s broader plan to recover long-standing dues while easing the financial load on farmers, ensuring continued access to electricity for those who play a vital role in feeding the country.
