The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is set to open Karachi’s largest Mega Centre in Gulberg Town, making it easier for residents to access essential government services under one roof. The announcement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NADRA and the Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) Gulberg.
According to officials, the new centre will operate 24 hours a day, six days a week, allowing citizens to visit at any time that suits them best. This round-the-clock service is designed to reduce long queues and help people save time while applying for important documents.
The Mega Centre will offer a fully air-conditioned environment, a large waiting area, and separate counters for different services, including passport processing, Thalassemia testing, arms licenses, and senior citizen services. It will also have zonal offices to ensure faster coordination and better service delivery for residents of Ayesha Manzil, North Nazimabad, Federal B Area, and Liaquatabad.
Officials said the project aims to modernize citizen facilitation in Karachi and reduce the need to visit multiple offices for different tasks. NADRA has been working on expanding its service network nationwide, with this new centre being one of its most advanced facilities yet.
Residents of Karachi’s Central District have welcomed the move, calling it a much-needed step toward efficient, citizen-friendly governance. The Mega Centre is expected to open later this year, providing thousands of people daily access to faster, smoother, and more convenient services.
