Pakistan’s technology sector has achieved a historic milestone, with IT exports reaching an all-time high of $386 million in October 2025, marking the highest monthly figure ever recorded. Data from Arif Habib Limited and the State Bank of Pakistan confirms this unprecedented growth, highlighting the rising global demand for Pakistani IT services.
IT exports now represent 47% of the country’s total service exports for the month, reflecting the sector’s increasing contribution to Pakistan’s economy. Experts attribute this success to the rapid expansion of Pakistani IT firms in regions such as MENAP (Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan) and Europe, where local companies are partnering with global clients to offer software, digital solutions, and technology services.
A stable rupee has also played a key role in boosting IT exports, making it easier for firms to repatriate profits while maintaining competitive pricing for international clients. Analysts note that the combination of skilled talent, cost-effective solutions, and strategic international expansion has positioned Pakistan as a growing hub for IT services in the global market.
Industry leaders see this milestone as a sign of Pakistan’s strengthening digital economy and the potential for further growth in IT exports. With increasing government support, investment in technology infrastructure, and a focus on upskilling the workforce, the sector is expected to maintain its upward trajectory.
This record-breaking performance not only strengthens Pakistan’s position in global IT markets but also reinforces the importance of technology as a major driver of economic growth, job creation, and international competitiveness.
