Pakistan’s mobile phone manufacturing industry recorded a strong performance in September 2025, with production jumping 55% month-on-month to 3.01 million units. According to data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), this figure also represents a 40% year-on-year increase, signaling steady recovery and growth in the local mobile industry.

The surge was largely fueled by renewed consumer demand and several major product launches. Leading smartphone brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi, and Infinix contributed significantly to the rise, releasing popular new models like the Galaxy S25 FE, Redmi 15 series, and Infinix Note 40X 5G. These launches attracted buyers seeking advanced features at competitive prices.

From January to September 2025, Pakistan produced a total of 22.78 million mobile phones. Out of this, smartphones made up 52%, while 2G feature phones accounted for 48% of total output. Local manufacturers now meet around 94% of the country’s domestic demand, showcasing Pakistan’s progress toward self-reliance in the mobile technology sector.

Industry analysts predict mobile sales will continue to rise by 7–8% year-on-year, supported by a stable rupee and improved consumer purchasing power. The government’s supportive policies and growing investment in local assembly have also boosted industry confidence.

The strong production figures highlight Pakistan’s expanding manufacturing capabilities. With continued innovation and favorable market conditions, the country’s mobile phone industry is well-positioned to sustain growth and attract further global investment in the coming years.
