Blue World City Launches Islamabad’s First Hot Air Balloon and Gliding Adventure

by Mahnoor Arif

The real estate and tourism development Blue World City has unveiled Islamabad’s first confirmed hot air balloon and motor-gliding facility, located in its Tourism Business District and at the resort zone of the community. With this launch, residents and visitors now have access to aerial recreation experiences, a first for the capital city.

The inauguration coincided with a larger ceremony, during which the company handed over keys for the first “Serene Villa,” and briefed guests about upcoming developments including commercial plot sales, the Tourism Business District, and new residential offerings.

Blue World City — promoted as Pakistan’s first purpose-built tourist city, combines residential, commercial, and leisure amenities including a themed water park, sports valley, and other attractions. The addition of a hot air balloon and gliding service underscores a growing emphasis on innovative tourism and lifestyle experiences in Islamabad.

The developers believe that offering sky-high adventures within the city will not only enhance the appeal of Blue World City for residents and investors, but also mark a shift in the region’s leisure culture. For a city often lacking adventure-oriented recreation, this move could pave the way for more tourism-driven infrastructure and diversified entertainment.

As Islamabad continues expanding, Blue World City’s ambitious mix of attractions and living spaces aims to offer a modern, integrated lifestyle, blending real estate, recreation, and hospitality in a single destination.
