PM Shehbaz Urges Unity Among Islamic Countries in Meeting with Saudi, Turkist, Egyptian Foreign Ministers

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for greater unity among Islamic countries to help bring peace and stability in the Middle East.

During separate meetings in Islamabad on March 29-30, 2026, the Prime Minister met with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt. The high-level talks focused on the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. PM Shehbaz urged the Muslim world to work together and take collective action to stop violence and reduce tensions in the region.

He stressed that Islamic countries must stand united at this critical time. The Prime Minister appreciated Saudi Arabia’s leadership role in the Muslim Ummah and praised its restraint during the crisis. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to play a constructive role in encouraging dialogue and de-escalation.

The visiting foreign ministers, Prince Faisal bin Farhan of Saudi Arabia, Hakan Fidan of Türkiye, and Badr Abdelatty of Egypt, appreciated Pakistan’s peace efforts. They held detailed discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on ways to end the conflict and restore stability.

Pakistan hosted the two-day quadrilateral consultations to explore diplomatic solutions. The meetings highlighted Pakistan’s growing role as a bridge for peace talks amid the serious humanitarian and economic impact of the war.

This initiative shows Pakistan’s active diplomatic engagement to protect regional peace and support Muslim unity during difficult times.
