Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler has praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its impressive performance during the recent four-day clash with India, highlighting its strong preparedness and dedication to defending the country.
He shared his views during a visit to the Air Headquarters in Islamabad, where he met with Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and other senior officials.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the current regional security situation and agreed on the need for closer defence cooperation. They talked about ways to expand joint work in aerospace development and modern warfare technology to stay ready for future challenges.
Minister Yaşar Güler said Turkey highly values its defence ties with Pakistan and wants to strengthen them further. He praised the professionalism and commitment of the PAF and noted that Turkey is keen to continue joint training, information sharing, and regular visits between the two countries’ air forces.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu welcomed the Turkish Defence Minister and thanked him for his supportive words. He said that Pakistan’s Air Force remains committed to working with Turkey to improve technical capabilities and share knowledge in advanced air defence systems.
Both leaders agreed that their cooperation will help both countries tackle new security threats and contribute to peace in the region.
This visit underlined the deep friendship between Turkey and Pakistan and showed that both countries are ready to grow their defence partnership to deal with modern security needs together.
