Pakistan Launches First Online Women Police Station and Mobile App in Islamabad

by Hameed

Pakistan has set up its first-ever fully women-only digital police station in Islamabad to offer 24/7 protection and support to women and children. This new system allows victims to get help from home instead of having to visit a police station in person.

Now, women who face domestic violence or other forms of abuse can easily report crimes by calling the special helpline 1815. This helpline stays active day and night so that help is always available when needed.

Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi shared that only female officers deal with these complaints to make victims feel safer and more comfortable. First responders are sent out quickly and aim to reach the victim within seven minutes of the call.

If someone dials the usual emergency number 15, their call will automatically switch to 1815 through smart AI technology. This makes sure no emergency call is missed and help reaches the right people fast.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised this new digital police station and said that more digital policing and Safe City systems will be launched in other provinces too.

This women-only digital police station is a major step towards making Pakistan safer for women and children. With trained female officers, modern technology, and quick response teams, victims can now speak up and get the help they need without fear or delay.

The government hopes this move will encourage more women to report crimes and stand up for their rights, making society safer and more supportive for everyone.
