Three young schoolgirls from Karachi have made Pakistan proud by winning big at the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) 2025 Sindh Nationals.
The team, called “PowerPuff Innovators,” is made up of Grade VIII students Emaan Zehra, Anaya Anas, and Ayra Rizvi. They secured 1st place in the Future Innovators Junior category and also earned the special Girls in STEM Award, which celebrates the contribution of young women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The competition was tough, with 51 teams from Punjab and Sindh taking part. Despite being among the youngest, the Karachi trio impressed the judges with their creativity and problem-solving skills. They also secured 2nd position overall at the national level, showcasing their talent against some of the best student teams in the country.
Their winning project was an AI-powered financial literacy robot designed to help people make smarter purchasing decisions and practice financial discipline. The robot aims to teach children and adults about money management in a fun, interactive way. This practical idea stood out because it connected advanced technology with an important life skill that can benefit society.
Now, the talented team is preparing to take their innovation to an even bigger stage. They will represent Pakistan at the WRO Global Finals in Singapore this November, where they will compete with students from all around the world.
Their journey not only highlights the skills of Pakistan’s youth but also sends a strong message that young girls can excel in technology and innovation, making a real difference in the world.
