Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi officially opened a new padel tennis court and fitness arena in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave. These facilities are designed to improve sports and recreational options for diplomats and their families living in Pakistan’s capital.

Padel tennis is a popular racquet sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. It’s played on a smaller court and has been gaining popularity worldwide. The new court will give diplomats high-quality opportunities for sports, exercise, and entertainment.

During the opening ceremony, Minister Naqvi announced that a complete renovation of the entire Diplomatic Enclave is currently underway. The Diplomatic Enclave is the special area in Islamabad where foreign embassies and diplomatic residences are located. He promised that the government would spare no effort in providing maximum comfort and excellent facilities to all residents of this important area.

The Minister emphasized his strong commitment to transforming Islamabad into a world-class capital city that meets international standards. Providing quality facilities for the diplomatic community is an important part of this vision, as it helps Pakistan maintain good relationships with other countries.

Several important guests attended the inauguration ceremony. These included Minister Chaudhry Salik, Natalie Baker (the Acting US Ambassador to Pakistan), and Muhammad Ali Randhawa (Chairman of the Capital Development Authority, the organization responsible for developing and maintaining Islamabad).

This development shows Pakistan’s dedication to improving infrastructure and creating comfortable living conditions for foreign diplomats, which strengthens the country’s image and international relations. Such facilities help make Islamabad an attractive destination for diplomatic missions.
