Pakistan is preparing for a historic cinematic event as it becomes the first country to import and distribute China’s blockbuster animated film “Ne Zha 2.” The movie will be released in Pakistani cinemas on October 31, 2025, through a collaboration between HKC Entertainment and Mandviwalla Entertainment, two prominent film distribution companies.

This release marks a significant milestone as it represents the first major Chinese film to be distributed in Pakistan in recent years. The timing is particularly meaningful given the strong diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and China through initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

“Ne Zha 2” has achieved extraordinary success globally, earning an impressive $2.2 billion at box offices worldwide. This remarkable achievement makes it China’s highest-grossing film of all time across all genres. Even more impressively, it has become the world’s top-earning animated film ever, surpassing previous record holders from Hollywood studios.

Pakistani audiences will have the flexibility to enjoy the film in two different formats. They can watch it in its original Chinese language with English subtitles, preserving the authentic voice acting and cultural nuances. Alternatively, viewers can choose a dubbed Urdu version, making it more accessible to audiences who prefer watching films in their native language.

Officials from both countries have highlighted this film release as more than just entertainment. They view it as an important cultural bridge that strengthens the deep friendship between Pakistan and China. The distribution of “Ne Zha 2” promotes bilateral arts and cultural exchange, allowing Pakistani audiences to experience Chinese storytelling, animation excellence, and cultural values.

This initiative could potentially open doors for more Chinese films in Pakistan and Pakistani films in China.
