For the first time in Pakistan, the Sindh government has organised a massive esports championship worth more than one million rupees. The event, called the Sindh Esports Championship 2025, offered a total prize pool of Rs1.5 million (Rs15 lakh) and attracted thousands of gamers from all over the country.

The tournament was managed by the District Sports Officer South and Vidermedia. It featured two popular games: Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Valorant. More than 400 teams and around 2,500 players registered to compete.

The competition started with online qualifiers. Top teams then travelled to Karachi for the Grand Finals on November 22. The final matches were played live at the Marriott Hotel in a LAN setup, where players sat face-to-face – just like traditional sports.

In the exciting CS2 final, Team Legion defeated Team Wah Wah and won the champion’s prize of Rs500,000. Thousands watched the matches online and cheered for their favourite players.

All teams used official Discord servers to communicate. Matches were hosted on the FACEIT Middle East platform using Bahrain servers to ensure fair and smooth gameplay.

Sindh’s Sports Minister attended the event and promised even bigger prize money in the coming years. He said the government wants to support young gamers and grow esports in Pakistan.

This championship has opened new doors for Pakistani gamers and proved that esports is now a real career path in the country.
