Winter Break! Sindh Announces School Vacations from Dec 22 to Dec 31

by Mahnoor Arif

The Sindh Education Department has officially declared winter vacations for all public and private schools in the province, starting from December 22, 2025, and continuing until December 31, 2025. Schools are scheduled to reopen on January 1, 2026, marking the end of the winter break.

This short holiday aims to give students a chance to rest and enjoy a break from studies during the cold winter season. Authorities hope the vacation will also provide convenience for parents and families in planning activities or trips during the festive season.

Education boards have clarified that supplementary or special exams will continue as planned during the winter break. Students appearing for these exams should remain prepared and follow any instructions provided by their respective schools or examination authorities.

The Sindh Education Department has directed all schools to strictly follow the announced holiday schedule to ensure a smooth transition back to academic activities in January. Principals and school administrators have been advised to communicate the schedule clearly to students, staff, and parents to avoid confusion.

This winter break also provides schools an opportunity to carry out maintenance work or other administrative tasks without disrupting students’ learning. Parents are encouraged to use the break to spend quality time with their children, engage in reading, or help them revise lessons in a relaxed manner.

Overall, the winter vacation from December 22 to December 31 will offer students a short but valuable period to rest, recharge, and prepare for the new term in 2026, while schools maintain continuity in education and examination schedules.
