Pakistan’s Qari Abdul Rasheed has proudly secured third place in the country’s first international Quran recitation competition. The event, held at Islamabad’s Convention Centre, brought together participants from 37 countries, showcasing the global talent and devotion in reciting the Holy Quran.

The first place was won by Malaysia’s Qari Aiman Rizwan bin Muhammad Ramlan, while Iran’s Qari Adnan finished second. Qari Abdul Rasheed’s achievement was widely celebrated in Pakistan as a mark of skill, dedication, and the country’s growing presence in international Quranic events.

The ceremony was attended by prominent leaders, including Federal Minister Sardar Yousaf and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. Minister Yousaf praised the wide international participation, saying it reflected the universal appeal of the Quran. Deputy PM Ishaq Dar highlighted that the event symbolized unity among Muslims worldwide and reminded everyone that the Holy Quran teaches peace, justice, and harmony.

Winners were awarded significant cash prizes: Rs 5 million for first place, Rs 3 million for second, and Rs 2 million for third. These awards recognize not only the talent of the reciters but also their dedication to preserving and sharing the beauty of Quranic recitation.

The event was a celebration of faith, culture, and international cooperation, showing that devotion to the Holy Quran can connect people across nations. Qari Abdul Rasheed’s accomplishment has inspired many young Pakistanis to pursue excellence in Quranic studies and recitation.
