President Zardari, PM Shehbaz Renew Pledge to Follow Quaid-e-Azam’s Vision for Pakistan’s Progress

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for Pakistan’s continued progress and prosperity. Their messages were shared as the nation marked the 149th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation on Thursday.

The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals. A change of guard ceremony was also held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, where officials paid tribute to the country’s founder.

In his message, President Zardari described Quaid-e-Azam as a strong supporter of democracy, justice, and equality. According to a statement shared by the Pakistan Peoples Party, the president highlighted Jinnah’s core message of unity, faith, and discipline. He said, “These principles continue to be vital for our progress, social harmony, and the strengthening of trust.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also called on the nation to reflect on Quaid-e-Azam’s ideals and apply them in today’s challenges. He said, “On this day, as we remember Quaid-e-Azam’s guiding principles, I urge all Pakistanis to unite for a future that reflects his vision of a just, democratic, and confident nation. Our strength lies in our unity, integrity, and shared commitment to serve Pakistan with respect and purpose.”

Both leaders stressed that national unity and adherence to Jinnah’s values remain essential for building a strong, stable, and prosperous Pakistan. Their renewed commitment was widely shared and welcomed as a reminder of the country’s founding ideals.
