BYD, one of the world’s leading electric vehicle makers, is preparing to enter the Pakistani market with the launch of two new electric cars by the end of January 2026. The models expected to arrive are the compact SUV Atto 2 and the midsize electric SUV Sealion 7.
The BYD Atto 2 is designed for daily city use as well as short highway trips. It is expected to offer a driving range of around 301 to 401 kilometers on a single charge, depending on the variant and driving conditions. This makes it suitable for people looking for a practical and fuel-free option for regular commuting.
The Sealion 7, on the other hand, is a more powerful and premium electric vehicle. It is expected to deliver up to 523 horsepower, offering strong performance and quicker acceleration compared to most standard electric SUVs. One of its key highlights is ultra-fast charging capability, which can significantly reduce charging time and make long-distance travel more convenient.
While these two vehicles are generating a lot of interest, BYD has not yet officially announced the prices, available variants, or detailed specifications for the Pakistani market. More information is expected closer to the launch date.
This development reflects the growing interest in electric vehicles in Pakistan, as consumers and policymakers look for cleaner, more sustainable alternatives to traditional petrol and diesel cars. The arrival of established global EV brands like BYD could play an important role in accelerating the adoption of electric mobility in the country.
