A total of 183 Pakistani students have safely returned home after being evacuated from Iran due to recent regional tensions. The evacuation was carried out by the Government of Pakistan in coordination with the Pakistan Armed Forces and other relevant authorities.

According to official sources, the students crossed into Pakistan through the Taftan border crossing in Balochistan and the Torkham border crossing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Between March 1 and March 2, dozens of students arrived in phases. On March 2 alone, 62 students reached Pakistan, while 121 others returned the same day through coordinated transport arrangements.

The students belonged to different provinces, including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and Balochistan. Most of them were studying in Iranian cities such as Tehran, Isfahan, Zanjan, and Yazd, mainly in medical colleges and professional institutions.

Officials said the evacuation was arranged after rising security concerns in parts of Iran due to ongoing conflict in the region. Pakistani authorities worked closely with border management teams to ensure safe passage, transport, and reception facilities for the returning students.

Parents and families expressed relief after their children arrived safely. The government has stated that it remains in contact with Pakistani nationals still in Iran and will continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure their safety if further action becomes necessary.
