Saudi Arabia to Start Issuing Hajj Visas From Feburary 8

by Mahnoor Arif

Saudi Arabia has announced that Hajj visas will start being issued worldwide from February 8, 2026, marking the beginning of preparations for the annual pilgrimage. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that over 750,000 pilgrims have already registered, including 30,000 Hajj packages booked directly through their home countries.

This early visa issuance is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to enhance the overall experience and comfort for pilgrims. By starting the process early, authorities hope to ensure smooth travel, efficient arrangements, and disciplined participation during Hajj.

Saudi officials have prepared around 485 camps exclusively for international pilgrims and completed arrangements through 73 Hajj affairs offices. These preparations include accommodation, transport, healthcare, and on-site support to ensure a safe and organized pilgrimage.

In Pakistan, registration has been strong, with 119,000 government-managed pilgrims and 60,000 private pilgrims enrolled for Hajj 2026. Authorities in Pakistan have also undertaken training sessions for pilgrims, focusing on proper conduct, rituals, and safety during the pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia’s early planning reflects a broader effort to manage one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings efficiently. With careful arrangements for lodging, meals, and transport, both the host country and sending nations aim to provide pilgrims a spiritually enriching and well-organized Hajj experience.

Officials urge registered pilgrims to complete necessary documentation promptly and follow guidelines issued by Hajj authorities to avoid delays or complications.

This move highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to facilitating Hajj while ensuring safety, convenience, and comfort for millions of pilgrims traveling from across the globe.
