Iran’s Ex-Crown Prince Pranked by Russian Prankster Posing as German Officials

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last monarch, recently became the target of a prank carried out by Russian comedians pretending to be German government officials. The incident gained attention after a video of the call began circulating online in early March 2026.

The prank was carried out by the well-known Russian duo Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov. The pair are famous for making prank calls to politicians, celebrities, and public figures around the world.

During the video call, the pranksters reportedly posed as advisers linked to Friedrich Merz. One of them even appeared on camera dressed in a costume resembling Adolf Hitler while introducing himself as “Adolf.”

Believing the call was genuine, Pahlavi continued the conversation and discussed political developments in Iran. The pranksters also suggested that Germany might support stronger international pressure against the Iranian government.

The video quickly spread on social media and sparked debate about political communication and security. Some observers also questioned the authenticity of parts of the video and whether artificial intelligence or edited footage might have been used.
