Road to Recovery! Pakistan’s Auto Industry Sales Rise 45%, Cross 183,000 Units in First 11 Months

Pakistan’s automobile sector is showing clear signs of recovery. In the first 11 months of FY2025-26 (July to May), total vehicle sales jumped 45% to 183,704 units compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).

Passenger car sales performed well, rising about 48% to around 140,253 units. Jeeps and pickups grew 37%, while trucks and buses also posted strong gains. Motorcycles and three-wheelers continued their strong run with 30% cumulative growth, reaching over 1.79 million units. This shows high demand for affordable transport.

Pak Suzuki led the market with impressive growth of around 75% in sales, thanks to popular small cars like the Alto. Honda Atlas Cars showed steady gains, while Hyundai Nishat faced a decline in some periods.

Experts say the recovery comes from better consumer confidence, easier bank loans with lower interest rates, and overall economic stability. However, sales can still go up and down due to seasonal factors.

This growth is good news for jobs and the economy. The industry is moving back toward pre-crisis levels. If the positive trend continues, Pakistan’s auto sector could see even stronger results by the end of the fiscal year.
