Adelegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently met with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the preparations for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be hosted by Pakistan.
The ICC officials expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, particularly in Karachi and Rawalpindi, where they were impressed with the security arrangements. Security measures in Islamabad were also discussed.
Key figures from the ICC, including Sarah Edgar, Aun Muhammad Zaidi, Wasim Khan, David Musker, and Mansoor Manj, attended the meeting. Representing the PCB were Usman Wahla and Colonel (Retired) Khalid Mehmood.
Chairman Naqvi reassured the ICC delegation that Pakistan would provide top-tier facilities for the tournament. He confirmed that stadium upgrades would be completed well ahead of the event, ensuring readiness for the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy.
Naqvi highlighted the importance of this event for Pakistan, emphasizing that it would be a significant opportunity to showcase the country’s ability to host a world-class international cricket tournament.
