Telenor Pakistan reported a 6.7% increase in revenue, reaching Rs. 30.11 billion in Q3 of 2024, up from Rs. 28.2 billion in the same period last year. This growth comes despite economic challenges and the company’s ongoing sale process.
The revenue boost was mainly due to Telenor’s strategy to improve its revenue sources, helping offset a 3% drop in its customer base. Additionally, the company’s average revenue per user (ARPU) rose by 11% over the year, driven by its focused monetization efforts.
Although operating expenses grew by 6%, this was lower than expected, partly thanks to reduced fuel tariffs. Overall, Telenor Pakistan saw a 9% rise in its EBITDA, supported by strong revenue growth and a lower inflation rate.
Despite facing political and economic uncertainty in Pakistan, Telenor Pakistan remains part of the Asia-Pacific region until its sale to Pakistan Telecommunications Company Ltd. is finalized. This growth reflects the company’s resilience and strategic focus in challenging times.
