The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has increased LPG prices for June, bringing more cost pressure for households across Pakistan. The new rate has been fixed at Rs308.76 per kg, while the price of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has gone up by Rs58.51 to Rs3,643.41.
According to the notification, the per kg price has increased by Rs 4.95. This means families who use LPG for cooking and heating will now pay more from June 1 to June 30. Even a small rise in gas prices can affect monthly household budgets, especially for low and middle-income households.
LPG is widely used in Pakistan in areas where piped gas is not available or is not enough. For many people, it is an important fuel for daily cooking, so any change in price has a direct impact on expenses. The latest increase comes at a time when inflation is already affecting the cost of basic goods and utilities.
The new LPG rate means consumers will have to spend more on every refill. The increase may look small per kilogram, but it adds up when buying a full cylinder.
