Kia Pakistan has expanded its electrified vehicle lineup with the launch of the new Sportage L Hybrid and Sorento Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), giving local customers more options in the growing hybrid SUV market.
The new Sportage L Hybrid is being offered in both Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variants. The SUV features a 1.6-litre turbocharged hybrid powertrain with a claimed combined output of 235 horsepower and 368 Nm of torque.
The updated Sportage L also receives a refreshed exterior featuring Kia’s signature Star Map LED daytime running lights, a redesigned grille and modern styling. Inside, it comes equipped with dual 12.3-inch curved displays, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with other technology and comfort features.
Meanwhile, the Sorento PHEV becomes the latest electrified addition to Kia Pakistan’s Sorento family, joining the existing petrol and hybrid variants. The plug-in hybrid system allows the vehicle to operate using electric power for shorter journeys while retaining a combustion engine for longer trips.
Kia’s latest launches come as demand for hybrid and electrified vehicles continues to grow in Pakistan, with buyers increasingly looking for better fuel efficiency and advanced technology.
The introduction of the two models strengthens Kia’s position in Pakistan’s premium SUV segment and gives customers greater choice between conventional hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology.
Bookings for the newly unveiled models have opened, while Kia Pakistan is expected to provide further details regarding pricing, delivery schedules and availability.
