ABHI Bank has announced plans to go public through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), marking a major step in its strategy to strengthen its financial position, expand lending and accelerate technology-driven banking.
The bank plans to raise approximately Rs2–3 billion through the proposed IPO. According to the bank, the additional capital will help strengthen its balance sheet and provide greater capacity to support future growth.
ABHI Bank said the IPO represents the next stage of its transformation after a significant turnaround of the institution. The bank has focused on building a more resilient business model while moving toward a digital-first banking strategy.
The fresh capital is expected to support the expansion of the bank’s lending activities and allow it to invest further in digital banking, technology and customer-focused financial services. These investments are intended to make banking services more accessible while improving the overall customer experience.
Financial inclusion is also expected to remain a key part of the bank’s growth strategy. ABHI has been developing digital capabilities aimed at serving individuals, small businesses and customers who remain underserved by traditional financial institutions. Its earlier partnerships have also focused on expanding technology-enabled financial services across Pakistan.
The bank’s recent financial performance has provided further momentum for the planned listing. In the first quarter of 2026, ABHI Microfinance Bank reported Rs4.874 billion in revenue, compared with Rs2.600 billion during the same period a year earlier, while its deposit base stood at Rs69.216 billion at the end of March.
ABHI’s move toward the stock market comes as Pakistan’s financial sector increasingly embraces digital banking, artificial intelligence, real-time payments and technology-driven financial services. The State Bank of Pakistan has also identified digital transformation and wider financial inclusion as important priorities for the country’s banking sector.
If completed successfully, the IPO could provide ABHI Bank with additional resources to expand its digital infrastructure, increase lending capacity and reach more financially underserved customers.
The planned listing therefore represents more than a capital-raising exercise, positioning ABHI Bank for its next phase of technology-led growth and broader financial inclusion in Pakistan.
